USFA Zip Gun...
Anyone own one? Do you like it?
Where can I buy one? How much? Please do not say Gunbroker. Thanks.

I would be very cautious about this gun until they can provide a working magazine with it. Go to youtube, there are lots of videos documenting their failure to feed using all sorts of Ruger and Ramline mags. At this point the only thing they have going for them is their looks... functionality sucks.

USFA Zip Gun...
It's hard to believe that USFA gave up their single action business for this thing they call the zip.

The profit margins have got to be a lot higher on those little things than they are on a tuned SAA.
They may have run into the same issue Colt did with their double actions - not enough demand/volume to cover manufacturing expenses.

This "firearm" is the cat's meow. The video was a hoot to watch. Up until he used the 10 round Ruger mag I didn't see the gun fire in anything but "single shot" mode.
I cracked up when he said that the instructions mentioned that the larger magazine would probably cause malfunctions when used with the gun. Now I think I've seen the ugliest gun...ever. Maybe what it really needs is to attach the drum magazine and shoot it sideways gangsta style. |

Anyone actually seen or fired one.

What's the point? Ugly and akward. Better named the Jam-O-Matic.

I have had a USFA Rodeo .45 Colt for some time now. It is a very nice SAA clone, especially for the money. In thinking about the entire direction of USFA, I just have to shake my head in disbelief at what they are doing right now. Just boggles the mind.

My LGS had one a couple months ago. I wasn't impressed. The workers there weren't impressed either. They saw it as a gimmick. It eventually sold.

If this is the same company that makes the SAA clones I wonder what the reason was behind putting the effort into this design.

Any weapon that has controls near the muzzle of the gun is retarded. Especially the second strike one. Ya put ur fingers near the muzzle after a dud... That'll end well for someone.
finest revolvers made to laughing stock...

This is the same company that USED to make the Colt clones.
They're stacking everything on the Zipper right now. Denis |

I was wondering if it shoots well.
It seems interesting, and unique (not for all) design.

With a MSRP around $200 If one shows up at a LGS for under the two bucks I might have to get it just because it's so goofy looking.

Hard to believe that a company that made arguably one of the finest single action revolvers, and selling every one they build, would put out this piece of absurdity.
Aptly named. Zip... that's exactly what I'd be willing to pay for one. I honestly thought this was a photoshopped joke when I first saw pictures. It's like if the countries finest steak house switched over to selling chicken Mcnuggets. Pathetic. |

I might be interested in one when the panic is over.
I'd have to handle it in person, though, and see if the ergonomics (or lack thereof) are workable. |

I predict that in a year or so the Zip will make new Coke and the Edsel seem like brilliant business decisions.
