i just use a dremel, JB weld, epoxy steel putty, extended bolts. now i want to make my own stocks from scratch using 16-22 gauge sheet metal. im going to recreate the old WWII machine guns and some futuristic stocks specific for my 10/22 i just recently bought a lincoln welder, table vice grip, brake press(bends sheet metal to 90 degrees), power drill. i just find a image of a gun i want to clone, trace it on my computer screen, cut it out and trace it on the sheet metal. either use a plasma cutter or cutting wheel. use the brake press to bend the metal. then weld brackets to it and bolt it all up. i can add extensions to the mag release, safety, and JB weld the 10/22 rotary mag to the fake magazine. Nice work. If I knew how to do that I think I'd quit my job and open up an online shop

here's what i have so far. still not done yet.
im using a gutted airsoft XM8 body inside. used 22 gauge sheet metal and bent the upper receiver and lower hand guard shaped the stock and external pieces with masonite wood. things to do: drill a hole to the action screw redo the buffer bolt. its crooked add rubber butt pad still need to add JB weld over the stock and shave/sand it down to shape still need to JB weld the 10/22 magazine over the G36 fake magazine drill holes on the body and plug it with a nut/bolt still need to bolt down the external pieces to the body add some minor details to the body and stock add JB weld to the base pistol grip and shape it respray the entire gun with texture and flat black _MG_3483 by defconskylude, on Flickr _MG_3484 by defconskylude, on Flickr |

There's just something wrong with de-nutting a Barrett and an EBR M14.

Range officers and the rest of the onlookers loved them. Also had 2 little kids that wanted to shoot the M200 Cheytac and the uncle said it made their day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GLgOQ8J_Xw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7-WKZE-Ops http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-BlUYtFMWg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FQwQaD4tGE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AF9P70cbsv4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKj37LLaoDM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NV8gIk0Tdjg AR15 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p77OxkhFM78 |

very cool, how many 10/22 do you own or is it just different stocks and you can exchange them?
how do you find the airsofts? they must be broken or something right because a good airsoft costs as much as a real gun (atleast here) if you are gonna start from scratch now how about something sci-fi laser inspired? |

i just go on craigslist, ebay, airsoftforums and look for broken/used guns where the external body is in excellent condition. thats how im able to get these for a good discount. if i have to buy new, then i just go on evike.com, airsplatcom or airsoftgi.com yep im working on some Gundam dress up kits where theyre know for their crazy angular/sharped/squared shapes. and theyre typically longer so im excited to do these when i have some time. theres a Alien Pulse rifle that im waiting to buy used. its already out right now, im just waiting for some kid to break theirs and sell it |
