Colorado 2002

Just got off DOW'S Web, son and myself were both successful
in Deer and Elk tag drawings for the 1st combined season.
Now, we have 4 1/2 months of getting me and the guns in shape.LOL

Dan

Thanks for the heads up - last time I checked the site they said results would be posted 6/7.

Drew Deer and Elk - both on 2nd choices! Yeee Haaaa! And the Elk is limited Cow tag, so I can get an over the counter Archery Bull Elk tag - 2 Elk hunts in one year - aaaahhhhhhhhh!! Nirvana!!

Now if all the forests don't burn up this summer, should be good to go.

JohnDog (dreaming of chasing elkies tonight!!)

PS - you better get in good shape - I hear them Deefs are very elusive

This will be last year hunting at 11K, next year we are going closer
to home....got an invite on some private stuff.
You are right on the fire situation........gonna be pure luck if it's still standing in October.Area where we hunt was logged in the late 40's....deadfall and old style leavings are knee deep.......a disaster just waiting! It also makes animal removal a living bear!

Thanks for posting this, Dan. I'd kinda spaced the whole thing till now.

The Wife 'n I each drew cow elk (same as last year where we both scored), buck antelope (cake & close to home) & either sex archery deer (in our backyard )

Still waiting for early August when we'll be able to buy an over-the-counter elk extra ... time for another freezer.

Congratulation Dan, seems like the new season is shaping all right.

Just returned from South Africa with monster impala ram in the bag. Comfortably made Rowland Ward with this one. Going to Poland in August to shoot some boar.
