Anybody know the height of the Ruger New Bearcat front sight?
I need a taller front sight for a High Standard Sentinel. From I've found at Brownell's and ebay, the Ruger sight might be worth a try. Brownell's has it as a replacement for the New Model Bearcat with a serial number above 93-00000. If anyone has one handy I'd really appreciate the measurements.
The Sentinel sight is about .310" tall above the barrel, and it's too short; also about .125" wide. Last edited by Carmady; March 23, 2013 at 10:26 PM. |

Thanks, Will.
I called Ruger yesterday and gave the guy the P/N. He looked around and found two, .300" and .215" (I think)...either way, both too short. I'm going to SuperGlue an extension to the stock sight for now. It shoots about 4" high at 50'. |

Could always make one out of 1/8" flat stock.
