Anyone Have URL to Loading Your Own Firelapping Ammunition

I was introduced to fire lapping by a gunsmith who specializes in getting the most out of rifles that come out of the box. In other words, rifles for folks that want the most for the least amount of money.

Here is a short test of the theory:

Here is an expensive option:

Anyone have a URL regarding rolling your own?

Contains some samplings of the thinking of master shooter, master barrel maker and master rifle builder...The late Gale McMillan

Note his comments re runnin gritty things through a barrel.

It would be well spent time to read all of his posts on TFL, found here...

That was real nice.

I don't think that I would run abrasives down a custom barrel, but I'm not sure the same thing is true of my wife's Savage. I know that with my Ruger 77 MKII Target, it shot better after firelapping.

Ouu.. That's a lot of reading. Need to do that one on my next day off. Looks like it is well worth the time.
