Jacketed 9mm Bullets

I finally found some 9mm jacketed bullets. Price was a bit much. $50.00 per 500.
At least during these times I have some to reload.

I think these are plated and not jacketed. You use lead reloading data for plated bullets.

Yup, plated. Thicker than usual though.

Anybody use these before or have any experience with them? With the lack of supplies around I'd like to jump on these.

Rainier's web site:
"We, at Rainier Ballistics, recommend using lead bullet load data when loading our bullets. There is no need for adjustment when using lead bullet load data. Our bullets are jacketed using an electroplating process and are softer than traditionally jacketed bullets; hence the recommendation to use lead bullet load data."

Berry's web site:
"Plated bullets occupy a position between cast bullets and jacketed bullets. They are soft lead, but have a hard outer shell on them. When loading plated bullets we have found best results using low- to mid-range jacketed data in the load manual. You must use data for a bullet that has the same weight and profile as the one you are loading. Do not exceed mid-range loads. Do not use magnum loads."

I would suspect that for a similar size and shape bullet there would not be much difference in the load data between the two.

I have loaded a few hundred of the Powerbond 124g RN 9mm and the 230g RN .45 ACP. I started out the 9s in the mid to high lead range. I stuck with low FMJ for the 45. No issues. They loaded and shot well appeared to be very accurate at 10 to 15 yards. IIRC I loaded the 9mm 124s at 1.135 OAL as they are slightly longer than others I have loaded for. No issues in a Sig P6 and a Walther P1.

I believe they are a good product for plinking. I have not pushed them and have no reason to. Others will have to chime in on accuracy at greater ranges.

Ordered 500 of the 125 gr. for .38. Arrived today...not bad turn around time considering. Dies come in from Dillon on Friday, about two weeks after I placed the order.

Items are being shipped...slowly but surely.

When did you order them? I just placed an order for 115gr RN 9mm.

Placed an order on 1/23 for 500 9mm from xtremebullets, and still waiting on those ones.

I ordered them on 2/13, so they got here in less than a week. That said, I also ordered 1000 9mm from precision delta about three weeks ago and have yet to see them.

Berry's makes great plated bullets, but for jacketed bullets I like Precision Delta. The last order (early January) I placed with Precision for 9mm jacketed was $86.00 per thou and no shipping charge (it is now $88.00, 115 gr.). I believe they state to allow about 8 weeks for delivery. My order was received in less time, and I think it depends upon what bullets they are making at the time.

In the red at the bottom of PD's site it says bullets have to be order in qty of 2000, is that what you ordered?

I ordered back in early January. My order was far 1,000 in 9mm. I received my order in early February. I also ordered 1,000 in .45 ACP (230 gr.). I received delivery about a week ago.

I do not recall seeing a minimum order notice of 2,000. Please direct me to where you see this notice. It maybe there, and I am just not on the right page of their web site. When you go to 9mm in 115 gr. bullets, I do not see a minimum order or 2,000. I do not see a notice in red stating 12 weeks or more for delivery time.
