M1a scout - best optic

About 3 months ago I purchased the Springfield M1A and from the Springfield website I have the "Scout Squad" with a 4 or 5 inch long rail section forward of the action. I've shot 1 inch groups at 100 yards, iron sights, and its dead on.
My question is: For shooting at a distance greater than 100 yards, what is the preferred optic? This would be my "bug out bag" weapon which would mean I'd be using it for hunting as well as protection and overall the optics would need to be "rugged." I'm a new member and appreciate your experienced feedback.

if its for a bug out thing and u shoot that good with it leaveit opensighted

1" group at 100 yards is a 2" group a 200 yards and that will do for what you are wanting. scopes ingenral tend to get knocked out of wack when toast about i such end of the world sense so the best bet is an open sight gun that you can shoot well.

I recommend an Aimpoint Micro on an UltiMAK M8 hand guard.
This will give a fast red dot that allows co-witness of your irons.

You can also use a LER/EER 2.5X Scout scope in low TL rings.

MOA is right, sound advice.

If you still want optics, there are only two scopes to look at, IMO:
The Leupold and the Burris scout scopes.

If your shooting that well with irons at 100, both of these <3X scopes will have you hitting targets at 500+. Target acquisition is super quick. With the SA factory Brake, you will have no problems staying on target for faster shot cadences.

What ammo you been grouping 1MOA with? I didnt know that rifle was capable of that accuracy out of the box.
