Have you read the rules for the Gun Show found at the top of each of those forums? Do that, and you can answer your own question.

i'm a member in good standings. i've been a member for years. why would have to post 25 meaningful post in other forums, just to post 1 post in the guns forum? that doesnt make any sense!?

The gun show forums are a bonus benefit to members who are active regular contributors to TFL's knowledge base and to one's fellow members.
25 posts is an exceedingly small "price" to pay for a forum as active as this one and with as many skilled, knowledgable contributors, all of which we receive for free and without commercial advertisements. Thats why.
