Loose Wedge Pin

I have an old cheapy CVA muzzle loader kit gun that I am refinishing. The wedge pin that holds the barrel to the stock is so loose that it will fall out. Does anyone have any ideas on fixing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

wedge pin

Sir;
Take some thin wood strips and glue them on top of the wedge towards the stock wood, insert the wedge till it's tight and let set.

Another possibility is peening the loop on the bottom of the barrel to tighten things up.
