Seeking 6.5jdj info..
Anyone have any experience with this cartridge that they care to share? I just bought a contender barrel, Don't even own a contender , just because I love the 6.5x55 that I have and thought bullets wouldn't be wasted if I didn't like it. The price was right also .

Thanks for the link. The data though came as quite a suprise to me as many of the powders this site lists seems way to slow. In all my research I have never seen any mention of the 4350s, 4831s, or R22.
Anyone with any real world experience they care to share? |

No idea what parent case the 6.5 uses, but I do have some experience with the .309 JDJ which uses a (n obviously necked down) .444 Marlin case.
It most assuredly uses (IMR) 4350 - & that as it's only powder (as nothing else works as well). 14" bbl. Seems like a slow powder for such a short barrel, but 165s at 2400 fps makes me a believer. |
