Savage 69 RH shotgun

I purchased this shotgun about twenty years ago and know very little about the Savage 12 ga. line. It's a 20" police shotgun with a bead sight, parkerized finish and 4 round magazine. In its previous life, it belonged to the Prince Georges County ( Md. ) police department and is so marked. An ideas as to when this series of pump was
made? Any other info from knowledgeable folks is appreciated. I was rooting in the safe and there it was, prompting my renewed interest.

Some of these date back to the Nam era, and were unofficial/semi-official issue. PG County now uses 870s.

Best guess, late 60s to late 70s, but I'm no expert.

A decent pumpgun,IIRC...
