Custom 700 bolt problem

Just purchased a used 700 in 308. It has an 18in heavy barrel, threaded flash hider, large bolt handle, detachable magazine(4round), and a custom trigger.
This is my 1st 700 in many years of shooting, and my problem is the bolt removal. There does not appear to be a button or lever in the trigger guard - I'm assuming(hate that word) that the custom trigger is the culprit. Don't know what manufacturer.
Any thoughts out there on a solution?

take the gun off of the stock

The bolt release lever is on the left side.
When doing a caliber change which require a change in bolt face like .560 to .473 I take the lever off at the request of the customer.
Some think that a removable bolt may become lost during a hunt or something.

700 bolt removal

could be it's like the old 600

simply look at the left side on the back of the receiver. Between the bolt body and the inside of the reciever you'll see a bolt stop. Simply take a small screwdriver and push it down as you pull back on the bolt

correct info on 700 bolt

Thanks jglenn, you called it! Simple when you know how. Will properly clean this beastie now, put a decent scope on it, and I'll let you know how it shoots.
