98 mauser trigger with saftey problem

I installed a Bold Trigger on my 98 mauser 8mm and everything matched perfect. The only issue is when the bolt is closed and then dry fired it is hard as crap to open the bolt back up. The instructions say if this problem occurs the sear engagement screw is under adjusted and then on the next page it says do not attempt to reduce sear engagement??? What should I try to fix the problem??

Adjust the sear engagement little by little until the bolt works properly. Then test by hitting the butt on a hard surface to see if if the firing pin moves forward. Do this with ALL trigger adjustments ,with and without the safety on .Of course NOT with ammo in the gun ! If the firing pin goes forward then a detailed search for the problem is needed.
