no lube on lead?

So I bought some hornady .358 lsw/hp and there was no lube on the bullet. Is this ok should there be lube. I am really new to this so any help would be great.

I've never bought cast bullets that didn't have lube, but that's not saying such a thing doesn't exist. Do the bullets have lube grooves?

EDIT - do they look like this?

If so, there's lube in the mesh-looking knurling at the base of the bullet.

The bullet in the picture is not cast, it's swaged. Swaged don't have lube grooves or lube like cast bullets do; rather, they have a lube coating.

yes it does look like that but don't feel lubed. It might just me being inexperienced.

Hello, 10 acre woods. That knurling pattern over the bullets surface is designed to hold a light coating of lube...the impressions are filled with it.
These soft swaged bullets with minimum lube cannot be driven as fast as regular grease groove bullets.

Yep.
Take it easy on the LWSCs. They're soft and squigie. They'll lead faster than you can say the word, if you push them past about 950 fps.
