Reloaded rounds jamming

Been working on some .40 ammo and have been getting cases that jam in the gun. I have the lee factory crimp die in the last station of my progressive as well. As you can see in the pic there's a lump in the base of the round, what causes that??

.40 brass

It looks like the brass you have there has come from a firearm with an unsupported chamber. Is it range pickup brass? I ran into the same issue using range pickup brass for my .40 M&P. The resizer die doesnt reach that far down the case, thus leaving the belly you are noticing. I use a Redding GRX pass thru die to get rid of that. I believe Lee makes a similar solution.

It is range pickup and I just ordered that bulge buster for the lee factory crimp die
