I have lots of experience with it!!!
I loaded 12 rounds of 45 ACP with it yesterday ad shot them today.
I am a one powder type and 99% of my reloading is for 38 Super and 45 ACP with HP38.
Info on Hodgdons website shows it to be good with both of these. In fact the label says Ideal for: 9mm, 38 Super, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP.
I found a pound yesterday and loaded the twelve rounds.
I just wanted to try it and loaded 7.5gn with 200gn lead bullets. I first fired 6 rounds of my normal 5.4gn of HP38 followed by the twelve rounds of CFG.
I couldn't tell a lot of difference in noise or recoil.
The most obvious difference is that they shot lower than the HP38.
Because of the increased speed?
It meters just as well as HP38 but the starting load is about 50% more than HP38. (7.4 vs. 5.0).
I plan to have 100 rounds to fire Friday.
