car gun in the winter

It's starting to get colder in Indiana. I work as a locomotive engineer and leave my car at the yard for a day or a day and a half at a time.

My question is this, is their anything that I should be doing with my car gun for the winter? Lube? clean more often? rotate ammo more often?

I have a Para LDA officers size and a Taurus model 85 that I rotate, any difference for the revolver than the pistol?

I also have a Crimson Trace grip on the Taurus, any problems with it in the cold?

I'd use a MAK for that situation. Especially with leaving it in the car for long periods of time like that.
But no, there should be no special considerations. Just keep the gun well lubed to protect it from corosion...
If you are really worried about it:

But really it should be fine.
