Oh I've got one I've been loading for decades. I can shoot the eyebrow off a gnat with them. . .

200g LSWC; 5.0g W231; CCI 300; 1.23 COL. 778 FPS

This is my all-time pet load. Fired through a 1984 Colt Series 80 1911, 5".

4.2gr - 4.4gr W231, I know a few bullseye shooters that use this load.
The load Nick listed is very accurate in all my 45s.

I use a 9lb spring for my two gold cups and they love 231

200 GR Mastercast.net SWC 4.2 gr 231 1.225" OAL

For a 16 pound spring I use the same bullet and OAL but use 4.9 grains of 231.

Yes, my recipe is for a 16Lb spring.

I use 5.1 grains of 231 behind a 200 grain wad cutter. This load works well for me in a gold cup.

Some where around 4.6-5.2gn of 231/HP38, depending on bullet and lot of powder.
I find that 5.0gn and 6.0gn of Unique has been the sweet spots in many of my .45s.

If your talking upper end loads, Unique probably would have softer felt recoil.

It is. W231 is snappy. But I like it. Make no mistake, you can load some excellent accuracy rounds with Unique. So if you see need for a little softer feel, go with Unique. But I think W231 gets the nod for being slightly more consistent.

(Unique can make the bullets go faster, but that's not what we're trying to do here.)
