Did anyone else go hogwild on July 4th?
So I got home last night after the fireworks show. The neighborhood kids where popping away with their fireworks. I decided to make a lil' noise myself so I broke out the ROA. Keep in mind it is illegal to discharge a firearm in the city limits where I live. However, I live in a small dark neighborhood. My property borders a natural creek/swamp area. So I loaded up the ROA with 50 grains of BP. I had room for 50 grains since I wasn't using a projectile. I just compressed the powder and put a lubed wad over the powder. I pointed it out the back of the screened back porch and let her rip. Me and the girlfriend had our own fun making lots of noise and smoke. No one knew the better as I'm sure they thought we were popping firecrackers. Forth of July....REDNECK style!!!

Last year, I shot so many that I was up all night cleaning them.
I didn't make that mistake again. I just used a couple of 1858's.

I gotta tell you, that's one thing I really miss here in Arizona - fireworks (the kind you buy and have fun with). I LOVE those stupid things but with our state pretty much a big tinder box they just don't fit in down here.

IIRC simple possesion of any fireworks here is a $750 fine per firework, be it M80 or the smallest firecracker. Miss'em too but not willing to risk either fire or fine.

We used up half a pound each of Pyrodex RS and P. And made a couple of gallons of dirty water!
