#1 m3 wood?
 what kind of wood is this ?i'm curious ,, its going on a 2a1 with a crack in the wood (i will keep the original so i can put it back on if i ever decide to sell ,, which won't happen  )

Walnut. I use Waterlox, but there are a ton of ways to finish it.

you bet your cotton socks i will.
as of now i'm just doing the fine inletting as it is a tad tight, the buttstock needs a little taken off to fit the plate and the forestock is a little "long "not much but enough for it to bind when fitted over the trigger assembly,got to be carefull here i don't want any gaps between the wood and metal (maybe just a little to allow for expansion,and to allow for recoil stress) . as you can see(i hope) it needs alittle more off. and yes i was doing the work while watching t,v (bad,, very bad  ) the bits and pieces are all over the old recliner. .have a great sunday. adrians |
