I've owned exactly 1 Taurus and had issues with it. I don't bash them but do avoid them.

I had a 92 when they first came out...never had a problem and I put north of10,000 rounds thru it.
Several friends have had various semi and revolvers. Only problem I know of was a spring breaking in a 357/revolver after 1000 rounds. |

Had a PT1911 for about a year, it was great for a budget 1911, much better than my brother's Rock Island Tactical in terms of accuracy and reliability. Never fed it anything other than 230gr FMJ though and never used the factory mags. I sold it to fund a Springfield Operator which I sold bc of failure to feed issues. Now I have a Colt.

I have had a model85 titanium ultra-lite for several years which has been excellent. I've had my MilPro PT145 for about a year with a few hundred rounds through it. It's my edc and have had no problems. Only mod to it is a set of Williams Fire Sights. Just purchased (waiting to take delivery) the 1911 Talo / PBL. I'll let you know how it goes. Customer service has improved by leaps and bounds in the last few months. I know a few folks who own the taurus 1911 and I feel it's an excellent firearm. I also have the RIA Match .45 and I'll compare both to any FS 1911 I've owned (Springfield / Colt) and any I've observed, which is pretty much all of them.

Taurus seems to be a crapshoot and I have lucked out twice a 6" 44Mag M-44 revolver (used) and a 45Auto PT145 both have served me well for years. But my Sig 226 357 Sig is my constant carry gun.
