Reloading the 10mm
Greetings:
I have been fascinated by the 10mm for some time now and yesterday I found a good deal on a Delta Elite, so I took the plunge. I've been searching through the forums here and found minimal info on reloading the 10. What are some the loads you guys use? What about OAL? Thanks! |

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!! The OAL (overall length) or sometimes called the COL (cartridge overall length) will differ with the bullet you use. What is your experience reloading? The answer to your question will vary with your experience as well.

Thanks for the reply.
I have been reloading for 10 years or so but only got serious about it last year some time. I reload 38, 357 mag, 45 acp, 30-06, and 243. I have only had time to fine tune the 45. (I don't get to shoot much due to work.) I have the Lyman reloading guide and I'll probably start tinkering with those suggestions, but I was just curious what you guys had to say. Thanks! |

Great caliber and its not finicky. I love the Sierra 190gr. bullets with Blue Dot or aa#7. Get yourself a Sierra manual, they list a dozen or so powders that work with about half of them able to achieve aprox 1000 fps (or better). My weapon is a Witness full size; with a mag full of 10s it has the versitility to handle a wide variety of jobs.

Loading for the 10mm is about the same as for any other straight wall case. If you have carbide dies, no lube is necessary. Here are a few on-line sites for load data:

Intresting...
I've been using Bullseye, Unique, and AA#7 for years. Looks like Titegroup, Silhouette, and Power Pistol are excellent as well. This gives me a good place to start. Thanks for the info!

10.4 grains of Blue Dot with a 180gr plated round. I use CCI 300 Large Pistol Primers and Rainier 180gr Plated HP and Plated RNFP.
I recommend going by the book and taking any recipe from an online forum post with a grain of salt. FYI, mine works well with my Delta Elite.
