Anodizing Questions

Do any on here do anodizing, and if so, I would like to pick your brain.

Do you use plastic or Pyrex glass plating containers?

Do you etch with lye before the plating? Can you tell a difference if not etched?

What dye do you use, commercial or RIT?

Do you use a sealer, or just boiling water to close the pores?

Do you find that so called space-balls do any smidgen of good?

I am redoing my system, and am looking at ways to speed up the process, and what I should buy new.
