what about the new Marlin LC Smith sxs?
Has anyone seen one in person?
How's the fit and finish? Better than the Baikal/Spartan/Stevens? Have handled those and wasn't impressed. Any idea on a price? I'm looking for a reasonably priced side by side 12 ga. and haven't been impressed with the Russian guns, and with CASS so popular around here, I haven't seen any used guns in decent shape. The lines of the Stoeger just don't do it for me. Don't know why. |

Yesterday I saw a well used Fox Sterlingworth 12 GA, for $1295.00!!!!!!!
The new guns can't be too bad as they are spaghetti guns after all. And the Val Trompia folks build good stuff. Just wish they would stop calling them L C Smith cause they have nothing in common with the real Elsies.

I've seen them mentioned in various on-line reviews and posts and the MSRPs quoted run from $1400 to $1884 for the SxS to $1900ish for the O/U.
Looks like the euro/dollar exchange rate is really driving the price up. John P.S. - They're made by Fausti. IIRC they also make shotguns for Tranditions and Weatherby. |
