Reloading for revolver. What Redding dies setup ?

Hello !

I'm looking for a Redding die set to use on a RCBS ROCK CHUCKER SUPREME PRESS for .357 and .44 reloading (revolver)

Suggestions for the best setup ?

I'm interested in the Competion Pro Series Die sets but I read that they are designed for progessive reloading machines.

Would it be possible to use this set with the RCBS ROCK CHUCKER SUPREME PRESS ? Should I add an expander die to the set ?

Also, do you order directly from redding or would you reccomment a different supplier ?

I use that exact set up.

I use the Competition Pro dies on a Rockchucker Supreme press to load 38 super.

You will have to add an expander to the set. That didn't bother me as I prefer to use the Lyman M die for all of my calibers (even the ones for which I already had an expander die.) It's the best expander die I have found.

The Competition Pro are good dies. I usually order them from Midway or Grafs.

You could also use a Lyman powder through expander die, and put your powder measure on top of it, to flair and load powder in one step.

The press doesn't matter. Modern dies all have the same threads. So they'll fit into any press.
Regular carbide dies have worked fine for years for me.
Redding doesn't sell directly. Their dealers would have an excrement fit.

Thanks everyone for all the info.

Since you are using the crimp profile die do you ever trim your cases ?
