Oryx in the Kalahari
This Oryx I shot in the Kalahari Desert last year with my annual hunt to that area of the country.
Took her (cow) with a shot from my .50 Traditions Ranger.

Nice! I've always thought that the various antelope of Africa would be more interesting to hunt than the Big Bad Guys.

There are so many antelope of different kinds to hunt that it keeps one busy for quite some time.

I think that I would rather shoot the smaller african game than any of the big five. Something about having a shoulder fired cannon and chasing after Elephants doesnt appeal to me. I would like to go to Africa with my .270 and take some smaller game with that.

We call that a "cull spike" 'round here.
Beautiful creature. Thanks for sharing.

There is plenty to hunt with a .270 in South Africa.
