Springfield XDm 3.8 9mm price

Anyone know what a new XDm-9 3.8 is going for right now? There is a gun show coming next month, and I want to be somewhat informed, thanks.

I have seen them for under 550 online so with shipping and transfer fees I would probably think under 600 is fair, not great but fair. Those were the single tone too, not the two tone versions.

Called a couple of my lgs earlier. Neither had any in stock. First one quoted $630-650. The second place said they couldnt really give me a quote, other than to say "whatever price you see online, we're usually a little cheaper."

are you looking for a 3.8 long grip or a 3.8 compact? Springfield has two different grips with their 3.8 models.

if you're looking for a compact checkout snakeriverarms.com I was in the store yesterday and they had one on the shelf. Bill and Trent are good people, they get to know a lot of their customers and aren't greedy with their prices.

Price Check on XD

I was quoted $589.99 two days ago by a local shop.

I wasn't aware the 3.8 came with anything other than the standard grip, and the mag extension(19 rds) which will make a longer grip.

negative. the 3.8 standard has the same sized grip as the 4.5 and 5.25 competition models. the 3.8 compact has a shorter grip with grip extension that makes it feel like a full sized grip when using standard capacity mags.
19 rounds is the standard capacity. 13 rounds is the shorter compact magazine capacity.

I would say anything $600 or under is a reasonable price. Just came back from a gun show yesterday. I bought a couple last year for just over $500. Prices are going up.

I really like the looks of the XDm9, any idea the reason for the pricepoint being about $100 higher than, say a Glock 19?

I'm guessing the reason for the price difference between a glock and an XDm is the extras you get with the XDm. You get a paddle holster, magazine holster, mag loader, extra back straps. It's an excellent handgun.

one could argue the same about why the Springfield XD, Ruger SR 9 and Beretta PX4 are $100 cheaper than the glock?
no one will ever know.

I personally much prefer the XDM to any glock model. also the XDM9 compact is smaller in overall dimensions than the glock 19. the XDM is more comparable to the glock 26 with almost identical OAD. if you are looking for a concealed carry gun the XDM is the way to go.
