7.62 NATO Pressures

Anybody know the loading pressures on Milspec 7.62 NATO (.308). I am looking at brass recovery only and was wondering whether to shoot or pull.

It will depend on the 7.62x 51 ammo. For the standard M14, the max limit was set at 50,000 lbs. For the M60, it is considerably hotter at 67500 lbs. So if it is marked for the M60 or it is in links, it's gonna be hot. If you are considering shooting in a 308 chamber, it is not the exact same headspace and I wouldn't try it if it is M60 ammo. You'll probably have the 308 in parts rather suddenly. Standard ammo- no problem as the 308 specs max at 62000.

Thanks for your informative reply. That's one dumb question that I am glad I asked.
