I've checked with Jeff at Magnum Research and he only stocks the 44 with the 10-oz. lighter alloy frame. I've seen a 41 with the alloy frame, has there ever been a 357 with the lighter frame? MR also offers ported barrels as an option, can a gunsmith put ports in the original barrel on an after market basis or does this need to be done at the factory for some reason.
TIA
Larry
