During a little impromtu demo on how easy it is to disassemble an H&K USP .45 magazine, I promptly launched the basepad and the plastic "thingie" that sits on top of it into the Trinity River. Where is the best place to shop on the net for those two parts? |

The Bullet Trap in Plano, TX had the extended baseplates about a month ago -- $6 or so as I recall. These have the finger rest as found on the Expert/Tactical series. I don't know about the plastic thingie, but I would think they could order one. Good luck on finding the regular baseplate around Dallas. I ended up making a cross country trade to replace the extended baseplates that came on my Expert with the regular baseplates.

Is it possible to find pre-ban hi-cap mags for the USP .45? And how much would one expect to pay for these?

I saw the basepads at Bullet trap, but need the thingie!
You can find the pre-bans, but you have to look around at the gun shows. My last one was $76.00! |

Try contacting StG Supply @ (602) 940-4377. they continually advertise HK USP small parts in Small Arms Review.
