I am looking for a H&K MP5 but they are really hard to find. I am looking for a semi auto version.

What is a resonable price for a H&K MP5?

Where can I get a H&K MP5 at a resonable price?

Bachman Pawn and Gun - http://www.bachmangun.com - had a SP89 - http://www.unsuave.com/~hkpro/sp89.htm - at the gun show in Houston this weekend. It was $3,600.

Special Weapons is building a MP5 replica that is less expensive - http://www.specialweaponsllc.com/

Finally, HK may offer a civilian version of the UMP later this year or early next year. You can see the prototype at http://www.unsuave.com/~hkpro/update.htm

Nick Tilotta <[email protected]> has a store that sells them (forgot the name). When I checked in June his price for an HK MP5K was $7895, plus sales tax, plus $200 FET.

Good luck on your search.

MP5 is too close, too personal. M2 is nice and discreet. Reach out, reach out and touch someone!

Aw heck, MP5s on short bursts (via trigger control) are a lot of fun. Long bursts really aren't practical except under a few circumstances.

magnumforce,

The H&K semi-auto that you're asking about, is not an MP5 - which is a sub-machine gun. You're describing the H&K 94 series carbine, in 9mm. There is an LE marketed version of the MP-5 that has the semi-only fire-control pack, but you didn't indicate you've got the departmental backing (or badge) to justify this latter restricted arm. So, we're back to the H&K 94.

Shotgun News & The Gunlist are excellent sources for classified ads for such firearms. Don't expect to find a bargain on the H&K 94 or the semi-auto SP-89 pistol, as they're in very high demand by both conversion shops and people like yourself that recognize a quality product.
