Frame is aircraft aluminum

Today you can get about a dozen different 92-type guns with whatever metal, finish or control setup that you want. Here's an example: http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=505249 Last edited by Luger_carbine; December 30, 2012 at 11:34 AM. |

Italian has a plastic glide rod
American has a steel glide rod Might been a slight difference between what the trigger is made of. Owned both , no difference in performance or reliability. Magnificent firearm, well over 20k rds fired between the two without a single failure of any kind. They just got smoother & smoother. |

Don't let the "plastic" get to you though. Sure, you can replace them if you want, but there's no reason other than if you just feel like it. The gun won't be any more reliable or accurate either way.
