mossberg 144 bolt disassembly
does anyone know how to disassemble a mossberg 144 bolt?

Clamp the mainspring cap (the back end of the bolt) in a padded vise, then use the bolt handle as a lever to unscrew the bolt body from the cap.

Sir:
Great old rifle. When I was a young kid I always bought Mossbergs (my 46b held 30 "shorts") that's all I could afford. I now have three absolutely perfect 144s. and hardly ever shoot them. I have other Mossbergs too and they're all fine guns. You got more gun when they were still making 22s. than any other make and they were good guns! Harry B.
