Browning BAR Sporter - Parts Interchangeability

I'm looking into getting a Browning BAR sporter model. Would it be better to get the mkII, as opposed to type I or type II, in order to make sure that parts are available?

Which parts will most likely to need to be replaced on a BAR, if any at all?

Anyone know a good book or resource for parts interchangeability between the Type I, Type II and MKII?

thx.
