winchester semi auto deer barrel

PLEASE HELP... I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A RIFLED SLUG BARREL FOR MY WINCHESTER MODEL 140. (NO FRILLS VERSION OF THE 1400). A FRIEND OF MINE MENTIONED THAT THE 1300 PUMP GUN HAS THE SAME BARREL AS THE 1400. WE INSTALLED HIS BARREL ON MY 1400 AND CYCLED A FEW UNPRIMED ROUNDS THROUGH THE ACTION. THIS RESULTED IN NO PROBLEMS. IT WOULD APPEAR TO ME UPON CLOSER INSPECTION THAT THESE BARRELS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. ANY OPINIONS OR EXPERIENCE??? YOU CAN FIND THE 1300 SLUG BARRELS A DIME A DOZEN BUT, I DON'T WANT TO JEOPARDIZE SAFETY.

Can you use 1400 barrels? I had a "120 Youth" model and it would accept 1300 series barrels. If so, go here: http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.a...odel=0950z1400
