Best Western Movie shootout?

What do you choose?
I gotta vote for 3:10 To Yuma!

I liked Open Range, Outlaw Josie Wales, a few scenes in Tombstone and most Sam Peckinpah westerns.

I have to say "Wild Bunch"came to mind first, and it is probably the winner, but Open Range came to mind as more Cowboy Western. Both real good.

Best shootout? ALL OF THEM.

That's like asking about the best pecan pie yo' Grandmomma made? ALL OF THEM. But since you asked us a fun question:
Lately, Open Range, hate that Hollywierd editing gave then 18 shooters though.
Outlaw Josey Wales is just eat up with great various shootouts, no matter how silly that Gatlin gun episode was. I have that movie memorized.
I just don't like the 3:10 to Yuma movie for some reason.
The bar gunfight from Unforgiven may be the best of all.

Of course The Wildbunch and Shane.

High Noon probably had one of the most realistic ones.

I do refuse to say these are better then the ones already listed

Who the Sam Hell can beat the Wild bunch and Shane.. I mean when Ernest Borgnine does his "he he" after the general gets his... It gives me shivers.. To the carnage that will follow... Plus that drum roll walk into the Generals Village/ fort

But some Honorable Mentions

Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid..

The Shootist bar room Fight

Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.. Especially with the directors cuts with Pat Garrett being assasinated in the beginning....

'The Life And Times Of Judge Roy Bean', the gunfight where Bean cleans up the town after being 'drag hanged'. If you've never seen it you have really missed a great gunfight.

I like The Outlaw Josey Wales. It's not the bloodiest (The Wild Bunch easily tops it) but that's not my criteria for good. Acting was good, the gunplay was good and there was that wonderful oh █████ moment when the shotgun misfired.

4V50,
I think your are thinking of the misfire at the beginning of the barroom shootout in Unforgiven w/Clint Eastwood. Certainly one of those moments.

Silverado and Outlaw Josey Wales get me all sorts of fired up. Cowboys and Aliens has some fun bits where cowboys with converted 1851's and a SAA are going up against lasers and spaceships. i must be some sort of gun guy, i was more perturbed by the brass-framed conversions than the aliens

Worst I've ever seen was a movie where a number of soiled doves strapped on SAA's and went to rescue one of their's boyfriend from a bad man and his band of merry outlaws. after the outlaws were all hit and the doves took no casualties, the lead bad guy was down to one bullet so the main prostitute ejects all but one round and then shoots him dead in a duel. at that point i got off the treadmill and left, did not feel compelled to watch the end.

open range last shootout was probably the most realistic in a movie

Unforgiven

I stand corrected. It was Unforgiven that had Gene Hackman and The Duck o' Death.
