I'm with Reloader28 I can't see where it makes one bit of difference. With SP like 9mm or .38 cleaning with the primers out for me won't clean out the pockets. But LP I do see some difference in how clean they are. All I load is for pistol and have NEVER cleaned out a primer pocket yet, if I shot rifle would probably do so

I tumble first, then size/deprime. I also don't bother with cleaning out primer pockets, which has never been a problem in almost 20 years of handloading.
