A couple years ago at a gun show I did a simple side by side (non firing) comparison of several S&W 640 vs several Taurus CIA pistols in .357 Mag.
The CIA's won hands down. Better fit, tighter actions and smoother triggers. Not what I expected, but it was plain as day. I do marginally wish I had the CIA as opposed to the M605 with a hammer, a good gun in it's own right.

I have a Taurus 85CH with the old style Uncle Mikes boot grips that I wouldn't even think about trading for a j-frame.

I am glad you like your gun, as it gives you more confidence, which will make you shoot better... Good luck, keep your head down!

I have the older Model 38. Today's equivalent is the 638 except it takes +P. The shrouded hammer still allows firing single action.

A 2 inch SP101 hammerless (bobbed hammer) is a heavy gun compared to the LCR and the light weight SWs.... But for the recoil sensitive, the SP101 snub loaded with 38+p is a light recoiling easy-to-shoot option.
