Ain't there a law to protect your ag investment? No stealing a farmer's corn... Hopefully they will show up just one time opening morning! Put out a hundred pounds of apples a couple days before...

Its called "farm depradation' permit in ...
some states.
Farmers get them and distribute mostly to family. |

My Shepherds do the same thing. It's not that they don't know they are there. They are just so used to em they quit paying attention.

Guard dogs
If you really want a new guard dog my wife has some AKC beagle pups for sale.They won't run deer off but they will make enough noise to wake up the old feller.I myself wouldn't mind such a neibourhood.
