rem 760

Question I have a Rem 760 that does not lock the bolt forward when I put a round in the chamber. Any suggestions would be helpful

It could be one of several problems. First of all are you using factory ammo or reloads? Try factory ammo. Is the action dirty? The 760 needs to be clean to work properly. Is there build up or a piece of dirt in the chamber. Is there a piece of crud in the lugs and are the lugs worn or damaged? If you know how to take your 760 apart, go ahead and do so and clean and lube it. If not you might wish to take it to your local gunsmith to have it fixed.

Good Luck, John K
