You need a primer pocket tool to get rid of burnt primer residue, available from your local gun shop,
With flash holes you wouldn’t normally clean them but you could buy a flash hole Deburring tool, Burrs left on the inside of the flash hole during manufacture can be removed with this tool the flash hole would also be cleaned in this operation.

Thanks. There are a lot of different ones and I wanted to get a good idea before I ordered. Midway has 6 pages of them.

Best thing I've found for cleaning primer pockets is my Dremel with a stainless steel straight 1/8" brush. Fits the pocket and cleans in a second. I just line the cases upside down in a shell holder and zip through 20 in about 30 seconds!. The cases look cleaned and deburred afterwards. Actually they look like new.

Yea, I stumbled onto the Dremel tool with the wire brush last year and it works great. It only takes about two seconds a case to clean them, I just grab them in the box and hit each one then on to the next box. I found that if you lean the brush in not push it strait in it won't mess the brush up as much.

I've tried that too but the high speed brush turns the primer residue into dust which becomes air borne and creates a mess and possibly a health concern.
There are better ways to clean the pockets.

My suggestion don't bother.

My suggestion don't bother.

I started with a Lymon tong tool myself followed promptly by a scale and that worked for while. I'd expect the average person to form an opinion by the time such things are bought.

If in doubt I'd say buy from the Sinclair catalog likely Redding - they may not be the best and they may not be the best price but they are sure to be good enough.

Looking at the RCBS flash hole deburring tool and it says .22, 6mm,7mm, .30. Will it work on 2506?
