.256 win mag?
Has anyone ever tried rebarreling a model 92 or marlin 94 to 256 win mag? Just got thinking about this one and thought it sounded like a fun project. Anyone that has tried this let me know how it worked out. Thanks alot.

I did a Marlin 94 in 257 Win Mag for a customer back in the 1980s. Also did a Marlin 94 in 357-44 Bains-Davis. Going to a necked cartridge helps solve feeding issues, and the higher velocity rounds really makes it a nice hunting rifle.
For a tube magazine, you will have to use round nosed or flat tip bullets.

It's certainly an attractive idea, but strictly a handloading proposition, today - since factory ammo is long dis-continued.
