Brown Bess flintlock musket (1700s era)

Well I've sold my flintlock, but have a friend who still has one.

I used to do revolutionary war re-enactments.

Well, these are all replicas, capable of live fire.

We were having some fun with the musket one day and the spring for the flintlock broke. I'm having a hard time 1) knowing exactly which model we have and 2) where to find parts for them.

It's a fun gun to shoot. Not accurate for crap after 30 yards being a smooth bore rifle. I believe its either a 65 or 75 caliber rifle.

Anybody know of a place that sells a selection of parts for flintlock guns?

Here's a pic of the gun...

I don't think it was a 1720s era gun though. I think its a 1740 or 1750s if that makes a difference... They were brass though.

Let's narrow it down to which spring first. Mainspring, sear spring or frizzen spring? Any markings on the barrel to help us with the make? Perhaps beneath the lockplate?

You might try chambers.He knows a little bit about that stuff too
