What is the best way to touch up the black anodizing on aluminum handgun frames (SIG handgun)? Is the Alumi-Black by Birchwood Casey any good? DOes it stand up to cleaning solvents? Thanks in advance for any in information.

The Aluminum Black will blacken your aluminum, but it won't look like glossy anodizing. I use it all the time on my AR, and it matches the AR color beautifully. It's not a paint-like finish, so standing up to solvents is no problem.

For very minor aluminum touch up, like a scratch, I have had some success with the "perma" type markers, but they don't stand up well to most solvents.
