S&W .12GA pump/model-916A question!
I own a S&W .12GA pump, great shape cept for some surface rust. is this even safe shooting, heard about the 916, some seem to say its bad, how bad they dont really get into, is this shotgun worth anything? maybe better just keeping it, i dont really have any use for it anymore. if anyone needs to know more about it, before they answer, please ask.
i bought it back in the 70's from the store jeffersons, over the counter for about $100usd back then. |

Unless it's broken it's safe to shoot.
The problem with the S&W Model 916 was that they were not a very good design, and whoever actually built them did a lousy job. The guns were known for breaking, and when repaired, something else would break. Not all of them were bad, but enough were that S&W's reputation took a big hit. Value for a rusty one is about $100. |
