single shotgun vault
Gunners,
I originally put this in the wrong forum and rather than move it to the gear and accessories section, the administrators deleted it. So I resurrected it in the gear and accessories forum, which is where they said it belonged. I have a pistol vault that I have bolted to the floor in my bedroom. It holds a pistol, a spare mag and a flashlight and that is about all. It has a very quick push-button combination, or a key may be used. I looked on Midway and found nothing like that for a single shotgun. Does anyone know if a single rifle (or shotgun) vault with a quick access combination lock that can be bolted to a floor or wall is available? I did a Amazon search and most of the vaults they had rival the price of my 870!!!! Rmocarsky Last edited by rmocarsky; September 24, 2013 at 10:22 PM. Reason: addition |

I can't vouch for the quality but I ran across this one when I was safe shopping.
It meets all your requirements but it does cost $450. That may be the one you saw already. Last edited by southjk; September 25, 2013 at 01:55 PM. |

Another one I just found that uses your fingerprint to access it. Having had a Dell laptop with a fingerprint scanner for a number of years I'm not sure if I'd want to depend on that in a panic situation.

There is at lease one manufacturer making a box that fits inbetween the studwalls and has a door that fits flush with the drywall. Great for closets.

Have you seen this:
http://www.amazon.com/ShotLock-S-SLC...words=shotlock At $156 its not cheap, but about as inexpensive as you can get for what you want. Maybe a wall mounted vertical single long gun rack rack with a more conventional lock would work?? A lot less money but not necessarily as fast to access. But that would not block access to the trigger/action. Something that may be important to you from a safety aspect, specially if you have children in the house. What about a "Life jacket" used in conjunction with a plain vertical rack? http://www.amazon.com/MSE-Jacket-Pol...ef=pd_sbs_sg_1 Uses a single key for access. That's about as inexpensive and basic as can be found. Regards, Rob
