Is my AR15 hammer spring in backwards?
Recently bought a built AR from a private party, and after putting around ~70 rds federal 55gr wally world bulk pack through it, it had a few failure to fires. Also put around a 100 tula though it with no issues. Here are the pics.

lol, thanks for the quick response.... I'm guessing thats why the kid sold it. Thought 700 was too good a deal for DD/Spikes AR. Guess Ill be researching how to flip it around. Has those KNS anti walk pins to add to the confusion also. Being a former marine i thought it felt kind of weak dry firing it. Thanks again

It's very easy, a 5 minute job if you have the right size punch and a soft touch with a light hammer or even the head of a screwdriver. The KNS pins might complicate it a bit, I've never used them. Still easy peasy stuff.

Gotta be careful with "home assembled" guns.
I picked up a Armalite AR 10 for a song afew years ago. "Bubba" thought it was broke, coludn't get the bolt stop to work. I did not tell him that it won't work with a rifle length buffer in a colapsable length tube. It also had the wrong bolt stop installed. |
