.50 cal rrevolvers?

Are any 50 cal revolvers made? I am thinking about what would tickle my fancy in black powder, and this came to mind!
thanks!

You could load one of these in BP

John Linebaugh and Hamilton Bowen do .50 caliber conversions on Rugers. The case is a .348 Win cut off to magnum revolver length and blown out straight. Would that suit you?

ha ha

very funny on the 50bmg black powder suggestion!
The Bowen customs, while stunningly beautiful, are a lot more expensive than I'd like to spend on a BP.
Would be nice though.
If I had that kind of cash, I'd get a Le Mat! (perhaps the coolest BP I've come across)

If you want a cap and ball revolver in .50 caliber I'm afraid you'll have to look for an antique one. I believe some of english percussion revolvers were larger bore than there American counterparts. Some of these were well over .50 caliber. I suppose you could probably have a currently manufactured revolver modified to take a .50 caliber ball, but that would be expensive, Bowen could probably do this on a Ruger Old Army.

How about CENTURY GUN DIST. MODEL 100 in 50-70?
6,5'' 8'' 10'' and 12 inch barrel lengths, single action, and adjustable Millet square notch rear sight(old and new in one package )
Or maybe a PHELPS SA 50-70?
8'' 12'' and 16 inch barrels,polished blue finish and a safety bar.
You can carry it six-loaded.

I can`t tell if are they still made,but in `96 the M100 cost $1250.00, the PHELPS 8''-$1550.00
