Hit a Dick's Sporting Goods in Durham, NC and
picked up two cases of the Brenneke KO slugs
for $1.49 a box.

Original 1-1/8oz Brennekes with the attached
felt wad were also on sale for $2.99.

(Call first to make sure this was not just a
local sale or clerical mistake!)

Thanks, Laisse, I've already gotten about 140 around the house. I may pick up some more, but first I want to try some out at 100 yards.

FYI, this slug is the very first one that shoots equally well in both of my slug shooting 870s.

That's what I had in the trunk (was heading to the range when I dropped by the store). Got only about .25" smudging from the wad at 100 yards, so like I mentioned before they're probably flying true out to around 90 yards from a cylinder bore. I'll do more detailed testing on a day when it's not pouring down rain.

But they are DEFINITELY worth 30 cents a bang.
