I'd ask for $200 and take $100. But I've never been good at selling used stuff and when I do decided to sell something, I want it gone. A good Dillon should sell fairly quick though if you don't price yourself out of the game even if it's twenty years old.

It depends on how it looks and functions. If it's in good working condition I would ask $450.00 for it. If you want to sell it for $100.00 then I'll buy it and turn a real quick profit on it. Look on e-bay and see how much they are going for.
Good luck Woody

I'll give $101. They sell pretty close to the cost of a new one, if in good shape, sometimes on evilbay they sell for more!!

id be nice and give you
150 for it and try not to insult u with that offer maybe give more depending on condition. But depends on what someone is willing to give you for it. Dillons usually hold their value very well I gave 300 for mine used but it came with a ton of extras. So are u planning on selling one or buying?

Used 550b's are selling on Ebay for about $360.00 if you have all the parts and an extra tool head or two.

I have seen used Dillon presses sell for more than retail on E-bay.

It depends how complete the setup is.
If it has all the original parts (priming system, powder measure, accessory mounts {20 years ago, you got more than today}, primer alarm, etc), you're much better off. If it's missing anything, you'll take a hard hit on value. The extra shell plates won't bring any extra funds in, unless they're uncommon (such as the 'letter plates' : "C", "D", "H", etc), and desired by the buyer. The extra value of used 550Bs comes from the Deluxe quick change kits (the kits that have a powder measure included), and, to a minor extent, extra tool heads and complete caliber conversion kits (shell plate, pins, and powder drop tube/funnel/expander). And, of course... the better the condition, the more it's worth. I bought mine used. It was dirty as hell, but I knew it was essentially a brand new press. In excellent, complete condition, I wouldn't expect more than $250-300. It's the accessories that make progressives expensive. Without them, you're just selling a reloader the opportunity to spend a lot of money on little blue boxes.

It's worth EXACTLY what you are willing to pay for it - and not a penny more
